In 2025, after years of honing my craft, and more years of hard work getting ready for publication, our first book found its way into the world.
The Feminist EarthMother PartyGirl did everything we asked of it, and more.
It started with a glorious launch that outdid all our expectations. The vibe was electric, the number of people who came was extraordinary, and our sales were amazing. Everyone was so lovely!
Since then we have been grateful to everyone who took a chance they’d like to read the beautiful pink book with the funny name.
Grateful to people who bought a copy, and to those who bought multiple copies for friends and bookclubs. To the people who gave us rave reviews. To the bookshops who had faith in us. To the librarians who bought copies and those who organised author talks. To everyone who bought a book from a relatively unknown author in a bookshop or online. To new friends found online through social media platforms or in the process of selling.
Now, as we turn towards Christmas and the end of this publication year, we have a new book on the horizon – this time an anthology of short, happy stories. The steep learning curve from the creation of The Feminist EarthMother PartyGirl means we know what decisions to make, how to manage the process, what works best.
A big shout out to my partner for his extraordinary creative talents, to my kids for their support and assistance with tech stuff, and everybody else who has been part of the success of The Feminist EarthMother PartyGirl.
Time to rest and refuel, before the next chapter begins. The blog will recommence in January.
