One minute read
First, we focused on today, then the next decade. This week we’re going to focus on life itself.
Pause, and ask yourself:
What are the values that I want to underpin my life going forward?
Life is busy. School is busy then work is busy and study is busy and looking after a house/ household is busy, relationships are busy … eek!
We can easily lose ourselves in the melee.
So pause. Decide one value you would like to focus on this week, one thing about you that you can strengthen and build the rest of your life on.
Here’s some suggestions:
honesty, creativity, enthusiasm, curiosity, humour, loyalty, compassion, success, reliability, popularity, kindness, wisdom, optimism, fun, team-play, fairness, freedom, security, happiness, leadership, persistence, punctuality, openness
Got some spare mental space? Focus on two things, or three. Or make a list, and read the list out to yourself once in the morning, and once before you go to bed. Before you know it, you’ll feel stronger and more alert for opportunities.
