One minute read
Sometimes we know we’re stuck in a rut and what do we focus on?
The rut. Of course.
Let’s reframe that answer by asking ourselves three questions over the next 3 blogs.
The first one is:
What is it I want from today?
Advice tells us to live in the moment. I find that too difficult most of the time, but this day is precious and we owe it its due.
Pause and ask yourself:
What frame of mind do I want to be in at the end of the day?
When I look back on my day what good things will I have done?
Aim for simple things.
Earnt a good day’s pay. Made that appointment. Did ten minutes of that big pile of dishes. You don’t have to solve world hunger or find nirvana. Just start small.
The trick here is to set our intention early in the day. Then when the day unravels, we’ll realise we’re off track. We’ll remind ourselves without judgment about our intention for the day. The day will unravel again. We’ll remind ourselves again.
The one thing we know is that we’ll get plenty of practice at returning to our intention!
But return we will. Let’s keep practicing.
