A work in progress

One minute read

We often want to be perfect. Everywhere we see perfection, and we get the idea we have to conform to that standard too.

Just a heads up, nobody is perfect.

But there’s no law against making mistakes, or being wrong, or even just being different. In fact, sometimes mistakes catch us unawares and can be great learning experiences. They can make us dig deep and find our courage. They can demonstrate to us that we are okay when things go wrong. We can remind ourselves, the next time things go wrong, that we’ve been here before, and we managed.

We can spend a lot of time and money trying to be someone we think we should be instead of just who we are.

In times of difficulty, remember you’re a work in progress. If you’ve made a mistake, just forgive yourself and move on.

Remember to keep your self-talk positive. You’re okay. You’re perfect just the way you are, in this moment. Stay in your resolve.

A work in progress means the best is yet to come.
